The 19-year-old collided with the cars “for reasons still unknown” and police are now appealing for witnesses and footage of the incident

A man is in hospital with life threatening injuries after a quadbike he was riding hit four stationary cars in Tickton on Saturday afternoon. Humberside Police are appealing for information after the white quad bike collided with the four vehicles.

The 19-year-old man was riding down Main Street in Tickton at around 2.50pm when the bike hit a black Vauxhall, a white Volkswagen, a silver Volkswagen and a black Hyundi. Police said the “reasons are still unknown” for the crash.

The rider was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that “are considered to be life threatening at this time”, police said. Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash camera footage, or has any other information about the incident or this vehicle, is urged to call Humberside Police’s non-emergency number 101 quoting log 332 of the 4 July.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers are appealing for information after it was reported a quadbike collided with four stationary vehicles on Main Street in Tickton yesterday afternoon (Saturday, 4 July 2026). It was reported at around 2.50pm, a white quad bike was travelling down Main Street and for reasons that are still unknown, has subsequently collided with a black Vauxhall, a white Volkswagen , a silver Volkswagen and a black Hyundi.

“The rider of the quadbike, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are considered to be life threatening at this time. Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash camera footage, or has any other information about the incident or this vehicle, is urged to please call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 332 of the 4 July.”
