Hull KR currently have no plans to move Saturday’s kick-off time following England’s progression in the FIFA World Cup.
Thomas Tuchel’s side booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament in the early hours of Monday morning as they beat Mexico in the round of 16.
The Three Lions’ reward is a last eight tie with Norway in Miami on Saturday night. That game is due to kick-off at 10pm UK time, weather permitting of course.
That’s four and a half hours after Hull KR get their Super League round 18 clash with Wakefield Trinity started at Craven Park at 5.30pm.
With the game expected to finish just before 7.30pm, the club have confirmed to Hull Live that they are not planning to the make the switch to an earlier kick-off.
The current kick-off time will allow for Rovers fans to get away from Craven Park with plenty of time before the showdown in Florida gets underway. And, the hope is that those intending to travel from Wakefield will have the necessary time needed to get back to West Yorkshire before the World Cup game gets underway, too.
As such, Saturday’s fixture at Craven Park will remain unchanged, with KR chasing a second Super League win on the spin just hours before the Three Lions get underway.
The Robins returned to winning ways with a much-needed win over Hull FC at Magic Weekend and that took them up to fifth in the table.
And, they have the opportunity to move up to third by claiming the victory over Daryl Powell’s side, with Wigan Warriors taking on Warrington Wolves the night before in Super League.
