

Fairgoers have once again flocked to Walton Street in Hull in their droves. Eager to enjoy an early slice of the funfair action, the crowds descended on the fairground today (Friday, October 10).
They started soaking up the atmosphere – the sights, sounds and aromas – as soon as the traditional fair bell was rung by the Lord Mayor of Hull Cllr Cheryl Payne to announce the launch of Hull Fair 2025. Hull has been the location for an annual fair for over 700 years, although early versions were markets rather than the 16-acre centre of entertainment that the fair has come to be known as, and loved by families from miles around.
