Key Public Notices across Hull and East Yorkshire

  1. Cottingham Road, Hull: Hull City Council has announced a series of new traffic orders for Cottingham Road aimed at improving road safety. The speed limit is being reduced from 40mph to 30mph on specific lengths of the road. Changes to some of the parking bays on the road have also been announced, as well as a new ‘no waiting’ restriction between the parking bays. Read more.

Call for former workers: A public notice has been issued by Slater and Gordon Solicitors who are seeking contact from individuals who worked for the Humber St Andrews Engineering Co during the 1960s and 1970s. The nature of the inquiry isn’t detailed in the notice, but anyone who was employed by the firm during this period is being asked to get in touch. Read more.
  3. The Highway, Willerby Road: Marston’s PLC has applied to Hull City Council to vary the premises licence for The Highway on Willerby Road. The pub is looking to add outdoor entertainment such as live music, with the proposed hours for such activities being 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 11pm on Sundays. Read more.
  4. Pickering Crescent, Hessle Road: An application for work to a number of listed properties off Hessle Road has been submitted to Hull City Council. The proposed works involve the replacement of all roof coverings, along with associated rainwater goods and flashings at 21-24 Pickering Crescent. Residents have 21 days to view the plans online and submit any comments. Read more.
