A man was due to appear in court accused of murder

The man who died after an alleged stabbing in Bridlington has been named by his family. Ibrahim Yesildeniz, 25, was critically injured in the incident on First Avenue on Monday (August 10) and sadly later died in hospital.

Humberside Police were called to the address at around 5.20am. Scene guards were in place around the area for much of the day while officers carried out their investigations.

A police spokesperson said: “Ibrahim’s family are being supported by specially trained officers, and they have asked for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.”

A man has been charged with murder in connection with the incident. Mehmet Gundez, 24, of Bridlington, was remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court today (August 12).
