A lucky winner has bagged a £25,000 jackpot through Your School Lottery. The winner, who wished to remain anonymous, scooped the top prize in the draw while supporting The Snaith School.
Staff from the school, near Goole, recently accepted a winner’s cheque on their behalf during a special presentation. Representatives from Your School Lottery visited the school to present the £25,000 cheque, giving staff the opportunity to celebrate the exciting news and share it with the wider school community.
Headteacher Ms Yates said the school is “thrilled” for the winner. The Snaith School has raised almost £10,000 through Your School Lottery since joining the scheme. Funds raised help support school trips, the music department and a range of opportunities and experiences that benefit pupils across the school.
The lottery is promoted through school newsletters and social media channels, helping to build a community of supporters while raising valuable funds for the school. Every ticket sold supports the school while also giving players the chance to win weekly cash prizes, including the £25,000 jackpot.
The school has more than 50 supporters taking part currently, and it hopes the latest win will encourage even more local families and supporters to get involved. For one lucky supporter, that decision paid off to the tune of £25,000.
