Latest Hull and East Riding planning decisions and applications
- Plans for new padel courts have been submitted to East Riding Council. The council has received plans for two new courts near Market Weighton. The application has been launched on behalf of Sellmor Farming Ltd for the change of use of land at North Farm, Thorpe le Street. New parking facilities are also included in the application.
- Hull City Council has approved plans which will see a former Hull bank become a chicken restaurant. The former Lloyds Bank on Newland Avenue is set to be transformed into a restaurant after facing a stint as a vacant unit. Proposed signage shows peri peri chicken chain Pepe’s is set to move in. The chain already has a restaurant on Paragon Street in Hull City Centre.
- East Riding Council has received plans for 17 new camping pods near Skipsea. The application suggests sitting the pods on land off Skipsea Lane/Bridlington Road, between Skipsea and Ulrome. The application includes a new service block which would house showers and toilets, storage, and a communal recreation room.
- Plans for a 490-space park and ride on the outskirts of Hull have re-emerged. East Riding Council has received an application that also includes plans for a bus depot, two drive-thru units, and a petrol station. The site, which sits on land southeast of the Dunswell roundabout, borders Hull City Council’s land.
