Passed away peacefully on 19th January 2026, aged 81. Beloved wife of Allan, a much-loved mum to Clare and a dearly loved step-mum to Stuart and Andrew, a proud and devoted nana to Leon, Imogen and Isabelle, and a loving great-nana to Lenny. The funeral service will take place at Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby, on Wednesday 11th February at 11.30am. Ron) Ronald “Ron” Stirling Barclay passed away peacefully on 29 December 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ron was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Hilary, with whom he shared a lifetime of companionship, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a cherished brother to Moira, a proud and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews Lizzie, Dave, Kate, and Sam, and a much-loved great-uncle to his great-nieces and great-nephews, who brought him immense joy. Known for his warm heart and gentle presence, Ron had a way of making people feel welcome and valued. He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, his loyalty to family, and the quiet moments of kindness that meant so much to those around him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the love he gave, and the lives he touched. The funeral service to celebrate Ron’s life will take place at Memoria Crematorium, Barnby Dunn, on 13th February at 1pm. The family warmly welcome anyone who knew and loved Ron to attend and join them in remembering a life well lived. Ron will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.

Died on 5th January 2026 aged 90 years. A much loved and loving husband, dad, grandad, great-grandad and friend to so many. Service to celebrate his life starts at 1.30pm at Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby on Monday 2nd February 2026. All who loved him and wish to support the family are welcome to attend the service. In Loving Memory of Margaret Boldan 19 July 1940 – 17 January 2026 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Boldan, who peacefully passed away on 17 January 2026, aged 85. Margaret was a much-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose kindness, strength, and loving heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Margaret was devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved most. Her warmth, generosity, and caring nature will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. She is now reunited with her beloved partner, Geoff. Margaret leaves behind her loving sons, Mike, Mark, and Martin. She will be missed by her daughters in law Helen and Debbie. Margaret is cherished by her grandchildren Sarah, Lindsey, Antony, Sam, Ellen, Elizabeth, and Edward, and her treasured great-grandchildren Harry, Archie, Honey, Rowan, and Annabelle, who brought her immense pride and happiness. A funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life will take place at Howden Minster on 5 February 2026 at 1:00pm. Following the service, there will be an opportunity to make donations in Margaret’s honour to Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA), a cause close to the family’s heart. Margaret will be lovingly remembered always, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

(Of Sproatley) Peacefully on the 1st January 2026 aged 96 years. A Countryman and Friend to all. Sadly missed by all his family and friends. (nee Bishop) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 12th January 2026 aged 89 years. Reunited with husband Len. Beloved mum to Lloyd. (Stephenson) On the 17th January Mavis passed away peacefully aged 91 at St Clare’s House. Cherished mam of Kim and Wayne and loving and much loved grandma to Louisa, Emma and Adam and great-grandma to Delilah and Flora. There will be a service for Mavis at The Charterhouse Chapel, Charterhouse Lane, Hull on Friday 13th February at 9am followed by private committal. No flowers please by request but, if desired, consider a donation to Alzheimer’s Research UK. The family would like to thank everyone at St Clare’s for their care, compassion and devotion. Resting at A. Shepherd & Sons, 48 Beverley Road, Hull. “Grief is the price we pay for love”.

Passed away at home after a short illness on Friday 28th November 2025, aged 77. Much loved brother to Michael and uncle to Katie, Chantel, Corrine and the late Tom. Reunited with his beloved Mum, Dad, and sister Carole. Remembering happier times and forever missed. The funeral service is to be held at 11:30 on Friday 30th January at Haltemprise Crematorium. (Thomas) (Betty Love) Passed away peacefully at Hull Royal infirmary 6th January 2026 Beloved partner of John & dearly loved mother of Jane, Linda, Jill, Wendy & Sarah. Grannie to 13 grandchildren & Great Grannie to 12 great grandchildren & will be sadly missed by all. (née Randell, formerly Anita Callan) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Lancaster, beloved wife to Gordon, cherished mother, devoted grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. Anita lived a life full of love, learning, and adventure. A retired teacher, Anita dedicated her career to inspiring young minds and fostering a love of knowledge. Outside the classroom, she was an avid choral singer, finding joy and harmony in music. Her passion for literature, especially the works of Jane Austen, was well known; she delighted in reading and sharing her insights through talks on the author. Anita’s adventurous spirit led her to travel the world, embracing new cultures and experiences. She particularly loved walking and rambling in the beautiful hills and countryside of the UK and beyond. A fond and active member of the University of the Third Age (U3A), Anita continued to learn and share throughout her later years. Her warmth, wisdom, and enthusiasm touched everyone who knew her. Anita will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love for her family. Funeral Service The funeral service will be held on Friday, 6th February at Emmanuel Church, Loughborough at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to attend. (Tanka) Passed away suddenly on 12th January 2026 Aged 33 years. A loving Son to Dawn and the late Arthur. A treasured Brother to Claire and partner Carl. Reunited back with his loving mam, a much loved and adored father to Theo, a loving brother to Danny, Richard, Becky and Christopher and an amazing uncle to all his nephews and nieces. Sadly passed away on 10th January 2026, aged 80 years. A private cremation has been held.
