The winger has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with City

Hull City have finally landed the signing of Sorba Thomas after persuading Stoke City to part with their most prized asset.

The Tigers saw numerous bids turned down for Thomas in the final weeks of the window, but they managed to strike a deal with the Championship club thought to be worth around £7.5 million, with add ons potentially set to take that deal towards the £10m mark.

City have had a long-standing interest in Thomas, having tried to sign him back in January 2025, when he was still at Huddersfield Town, and they finally have their man, with Thomas signing a four-year deal

Thomas becomes the club’s latest attacking signing, with the winger set to play a key role for the Tigers under Sergej Jakirovic over the course of the campaign.

The 27-year-old is versatile and can play on either the right or left wings. He can also play as a wing-back notably, which is something that undoubtedly appeals to the Tigers.

A Wales international of 27 caps, Thomas arrives at the MKM Stadium with plenty of experience under his belt. Starting out at Boreham Wood in 2016, Thomas earned the step up to Huddersfield in 2021.

He made 114 appearances for the Terriers, scoring seven goals and enjoyed loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Nantes before he made the switch to Stoke last summer.

Ultimately, his form with the Potters is what has earned him a move to the Premier League, with Thomas bagging 10 goals last season and earning himself Stoke’s player of the year award and a spot in the Championship team of the year.
