Robinio Vaz is Hull City’s 16th signing of the summer transfer window

Hull City have wrapped up the season-long loan deal for teenage Roma forward Robinio Vaz.

The striker is extremely highly rated on the continent with the Serie A side paying a reported fee of €25 million for his services from Marseille back in January. The Tigers have swooped to take him off Roma’s hands, though, with the club agreeing a small loan fee for the season.

City will also have the option to make Vaz’s addition permanent next summer should he excel in black and amber, but ultimately that depends on if the Tigers can stay in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old is a France under-20 international and he arrives in East Yorkshire with experience that is arguably beyond his years. Vaz started his career with Sochaux but he left the club to join Ligue 1 giants Marseille in 2024.

Ultimately, he made 22 appearances in the south of France, with the four goals he scored in the first half of last season, paving the way for his move to Roma.

Vaz is 6’1” and he adds yet more size to City’s attacking line-up, but he is known for his speed, too, making the perfect addition to slot into City’s counter-attacking system right now.
