One in, one out for City

Brooke Norton-Cuffy has become Hull City’s 15th signing of the summer transfer window less than an hour before the transfer deadline.

Norton-Cuffy joins the Tigers from Genoa for an undisclosed fee with a five-year deal being signed. Cody Drameh has gone the opposite way as part of deal.

The England under-21 international has spent the last two seasons with Genoa, where he has made 40 appearances and established himself in the top flight. Brought in to add quality to Sergej Jakirovic’s defensive ranks, he can be expected to nail down the right-back spot in the coming weeks and make it his own.

Norton-Cuffy came through the academy at Arsenal but left the club before making a senior appearance with his only game time before his switch to Serie A coming away from the Gunners on loan, in spells at Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Coventry City and Millwall.

As such, despite being 21, he has 148 games of experience under his belt, with three outings coming this season alone for Genoa under Daniele De Rossi.

The move sees Drameh go the other way on a permanent deal, bringing his two-year stay with the Tigers to an end. Drameh joined City in July 2024 after being released by Leeds United and in that time he has made 58 outings in black and amber.

That tally includes two appearances in the Premier League season, coming off the bench in wins over Manchester United and Coventry.
