They have been charged with a breach of immigration laws

A man and a woman have appeared in court after six people were found in the back of a lorry in Goole. Humberside Police were called to Andersen Road on Tuesday (August 18) following reports a number of people were alleged to have entered the country illegally.

Six people were detained under the immigration act. A man and a woman were arrested and have since been charged with facilitating the commission of a breach of UK immigration law by a non-UK national.

Florin Anghel, 27, who identifies as Italian, and Tita Istrate, 24, who identifies as Romanian, were remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court this morning.
