Hull City kick off the 2026/27 season on Saturday against Manchester United at the MKM Stadium, after a frantic summer of transfer business.
Since promotion to the Premier League back in May, Sergej Jakirovic’s squad has gone through significant change with a host of players moving on, both because their loan deals ended, and they were sold.
Coming in through the door have been 11 players so far, including Joe Gelhardt, who spent two spells on loan at the MKM Stadium, before City agreed a permanent deal with Leeds United last week.
City have some injury worries going into the opening game, with Gelhardt, Charlie Hughes, Hidemasa Morita and Darko Gyabi all among those unavailable.
