Hull City have made a big move to add depth to their goalkeeping department. That’s according to The Mail who reckon the Tigers have ‘opened talks’ for Czechia ‘keeper Lukas Hornicek.
The report says they have offered ‘£12.5million plus add-ons’ for the 23-year-old who is currently away at the World Cup.
Hornicek’s current club are claimed to want more for a player said to have interested Leeds United, Internazionale and fellow Portuguese club Porto.
Hornicek signed for Braga as a 17-year-old in 2021 since when he has made 87 appearances for them and made his international debut last month.
The Mail also claim City made a ‘bold enquiry’ for Bayern Munich’s Alexander Nubel but the 29-year-old is waiting for an approach from a ‘bigger club’.
It is said the Tigers want to add two goalkeepers this summer, to challenge last season’s No. 1 Ivan Pandur and back-up Dillon Phillips and that they want to hold discussions with Manchester United over a deal for Toby Collyer.
