A full Hull FC injury update.

Hull FC have provided a thorough injury update to Hull Live, with Jed Cartwright set to be out of action for ‘around 12 weeks.’

The back rower suffered a hamstring tear against York Knights earlier this month, with further scans revealing the injury to not be as bad as first feared. There were concerns that Cartwright could have been out for four to five months if surgery was required. However, that won’t be the case with the player looking at a return to action in June.

Elsewhere, Harvey Barron is expected to be out for another month. The winger suffered an ankle injury against York and is looking at an April return.

Joe Batchelor is also expected to return to action in around a month’s time. The back rower picked up a calf tear in the clash against Wigan Warriors last month.

Meanwhile, Herman Ese’ese continues to progress well with his recovery after suffering an Achilles injury back in August. The prop forward has started running again and is expected to return to full training towards the end of April.

Ruled out for the season, Will Pryce and young winger Joe Ward have both undergone surgery on their ACL injuries. They will then begin their rehabs with the hope of returning to action next year.

Young centre Ryan Westerman is close to full fitness after suffering an ankle injury in pre-season, while fellow outside back Roman Dawson has returned to training after suffering back-to-back ACL injuries in the early part of 2025.
