York Knights have secured the signing of former Hull FC prop Brad Fash as they continue to build for their second season in Super League.

Fash spent 11 years in the first team at the MKM Stadium, with the forward making over 200 appearances before he was released at the end of the season.

Hull Live understands the 30-year-old has wasted no time in getting himself sorted for next season, though, having penned a deal to join Mark Applegarth’s Knights for 2027, with the club’s initial interest being reported elsewhere.

Fash is expected to report to training next week as the Knights begin pre-season and he’ll be pushing to help York build on what was a tremendous first year in the top flight next year.

The move is Fash’s first permanent move away from Hull, having emerged through the Black and Whites academy and into the first team while he was still a teenager.

He made his debut for the Black and Whites in 2015 and over the last 11 years, he has been a regular at the club under a number of different head coaches. He was rewarded for his loyalty to the club with a testimonial last season, but he’ll be looking to make the most of the fresh start.

York have been busy in the recruitment market ahead of the 2027 season and as it stands, they have made a raft of new recruits.

Cameron McInnes is arguably the most high profile addition, but Fash will provide experience alongside the likes of his former Hull teammate Zak Hardaker and Grand Final winner Max Jowitt. Blake Lawrie will be joining the club from St George Illawarra Dragons, while Matty English and Zach Fishwick have also joined from Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR respectively.

The Knights have also brought Cody Hunter, David Nofoaluma, Tom Inman, Myles Harrison, Harvey Reynolds, Joe Law and Andy Djeukessi over from Newcastle Thunder permanently.
