‘Behind every entry was a story of ambition, innovation and resilience’
Leading food, drink and hospitality businesses from across East Yorkshire were celebrated at the inaugural EYUP Awards. The ceremony was held at The Manor Rooms on The Drewton Estate in South Cave, and hosted by Katie Taylor MBE, Chair of East Yorkshire Local Food and Rural Tourism Network, and proprietor of Drewton’s, the traditional farm shop in Brough.
The event was organised to shine a light on the businesses and entrepreneurs behind the thriving East Yorkshire food and hospitality sector. An audience of 120 guests had an engaging evening of networking and chats, hosted by workplace wellbeing consultancy ‘hipeup.’
Guests also enjoyed a menu of supper bowls and sharing pudding boards, to highlight a selection of the region’s finest produce. Councillor Nick Coultish, East Riding of Yorkshire Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Tourism said: “We are proud to support the local food and rural tourism network, recognising the vital role played by small businesses in the rural economy.
“From food and drink producers, cafés and farm shops to accommodation providers, tourist attractions, nature reserves and visitor experiences, these awards showcase the businesses and individuals who make East Yorkshire such a memorable destination for residents and visitors alike”. Katie Taylor MBE said: “When we launched these brand-new awards for 2026, we hoped businesses across our region would embrace them.
“The response exceeded our expectations, with an overwhelming number of entries and some incredibly strong nominations across all seven categories. Behind every entry was a story of ambition, innovation and resilience.
“The passion and dedication shown by our winners, highly commended businesses and all our finalists is truly amazing.” Main sponsors for the event were Holler Marketing, NFU, NFU Mutual, and Wilkin Chapman Rollits for their support in celebrating the region’s food and hospitality industry.
