A man and a woman have appeared in court after six people were found in the back of a lorry in Goole.

Florin Anghel, 27, and Tita Istrate, 24, had been charged with doing an act to facilitate the commission of a breach of UK immigrational law by a non-UK national.

Anghel, who identifies as Italian, and Istrate, who identifies as Romanian, both pleaded not guilty to two counts of the offence at Hull Crown Court earlier.

The pair remain in custody and will appear at the same court on 8 February for a trial.
