“We are celebrating the women that race in the event, but also the women that marshal and volunteer,” she said.
The event has been organised by Backfire, in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Visit East Yorkshire team.
It will feature an array of vintage European and American hot rod vehicles and motorcycles racing in pairs along a 200-yard stretch of beach.
Attractions will include a static auto show, organised by Bridlington Lions, along with a selection of refreshment and community-run stalls.
Fellow organiser Paul Garbutt said: “It actually brings in people with a motorsport interest, but also those who have an interest in being at the seaside watching something that is unique in the UK, which this event is.”
Garbutt said riders and spectators from across the UK and Europe were expected to attend.
The full programme for the event, as well as a map and further information, can be found on the Visit East Yorkshire, external website.
