The transfer window proved to be a dramatic and unpredictable one for Hull City, as assistant boss Dean Hodden made clear
Hull City assistant manager Dean Hodden revealed Liam Millar did not get a chance to say goodbye before his transfer to Birmingham City.
“I think the most difficult thing is the couple of players going. Cody Drameh came in yesterday (Tuesday) morning and Liam was already in Birmingham having a medical.
“Cody came in to say his goodbyes and pick up some bits to fly to Milan. I was looking at the chef as he was talking to Cody and that’s people don’t get to see.
“The relationships with the security guys on the door and kit men and the people in the kitchen, probably more so than the coaching staff. Coaches certainly at the moment come and go.
“The other guys have been there a long period of time, they integrate them, they get them sorted with a houses and schools, all these things that people don’t get to see. Liam didn’t get a chance to say goodbye just by the nature of the move but it just ends like that.”
