A busy Hull city centre shopping street is partially closed this afternoon with a police cordon in place. Officers have closed part of Carr Lane with police tape and a police van parked across the road.
The cordon extends from the junction with South Street, by the Royal Cafe, to just before the junction with Chariot Street. It is unclear what has taken place, although Hull Live has contacted Humberside Police and will bring updates as soon as possible.
So far officers can be seen manning the cordon which prevents access to Primark on Carr Lane.
