The 49-year-old pedestrian suffered ‘life-threatening’ injuries, say police who are now appealing for witnesses

A man has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a van in Hull. The incident happened at the junction of Cave Street and Beverley Road at around 12.45pm on Thursday, July 9 with officers now appealing for witnesses.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “It is reported a Ford Transit van and pedestrian were in collision at the junction of Cave Street and Beverley Road, leading to the pedestrian, a 49-year-old man, being taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are thought to be life threatening at this time.
“Enquiries remain ongoing to determine the full circumstances around the collision, and we would ask for anyone who witnessed the collision and may have dashcam or CCTV from around the time it is believed to have occurred, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 296 of 9 July.”
