Sewerby Hall and Gardens, near Bridlington, is playing host to a new brick model trail that is set to fascinate visitors of all ages this summer. Iconic Bricks: Extinction is a 17-model exhibition showcasing a variety of animals that roamed the earth millions of years ago and up to as recently as the 1930s.
Opening to the public on Friday, August 14, Iconic Bricks: Extinction will include the Dire Wolf, Sabre Tooth Tiger and a Mammoth skull, among its collection. The exhibition is suitable for visitors of all ages.
Those who come along will be able to capture their memories by taking photographs at the sit-in egg and selfie models. The models showcase the craftsmanship of the model builders who have expressed their creativity and skill in every detail, creating an unforgettable experience for visitors.
Councillor Nick Coultish, East Yorkshire Council cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, said: “We are delighted to welcome Iconic Bricks: Extinction to Sewerby Hall and Gardens this summer. This unique exhibition combines creativity, learning and family fun, bringing some of the world’s most fascinating extinct animals to life through incredible brick-built models.
‘’Visitors of all ages will be amazed by the craftsmanship while the interactive elements provide fantastic opportunities for families to create lasting memories together.’’ The exhibition will be on display until Sunday, September 13.
