England have qualified for the knockout stages of the FIFA World Cup 2026, topping their group after the opening matches with Croatia, Ghana and Panama. This evening (Wednesday, July 1) it is the turn of The Leopards – DR Congo – to take on the might of the Three Lions.
England fans from the Hull area will be roaring on their heroes all the way to the final whistle from the PQ Event Space, on the ground floor of Princes Quay Shopping Centre, which has been turned into Fanzone Hull for the tournament. Supporters have already discovered the atmosphere of the Fanzone during the group stages and today will again be soaking up the pre-match vibes – as well as the excitement of the game – at the centre.
Doors opened at 3pm to give fans plenty of time to enjoy the build-up to the match, with the kick-off due to be at 5pm UK time. Princes Quay invited over-18s to “be part of the atmosphere as England play against DR Congo in the 2026 World Cup”.
All the action is being covered across four large screens, so no matter if you are visiting alone or with family or friends, you will be surrounded by like-minded souls. “Expect great vibes, big moments, and drinks flowing all night,” said Princes Quay.
“DJ John will have the music flowing to get you in the mood before kick-off and keep the energy going all night.” Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and the event is due to finish at 8pm, with England hopefully victorious and ready to meet their final-16 opponents.
