Hull City have seemingly hit the buffers in their quest to strike a deal for Rangers star Nicolas Raskin.
The Tigers have lodged interest in the Belgian international, as per initial reports from BBC Humberside, but the Scottish giants are holding out for around £20m.
Bolstering their midfield ranks is a priority for the Tigers this summer, as they prepare for their first campaign back in the Premier League for a decade.
City rate Raskin highly, though the two clubs are some distance away from agreeing a deal given the Glasgow club’s value of the 25-year-old, and the price the East Yorkshire club are prepared to pay.
Despite promotion to the Premier League, the Tigers are keen to be as frugal as possible to ensure they get value for money in the market.
Everton’s Tim Iroegbunam is a firm target for the Tigers, and the Toffees would be prepared to sanction his exit, provided both clubs can agree on a suitable deal for the 22-year-old, who is out of contract next summer.

Italian side Bologna and Spanish outfit Real Betis are also both interested in the player who caught the eye last term, playing 50 times in all competitions for Rangers, scoring seven times, and claiming nine assists, largely operating from a defensive midfield role.
Raskin has played in both of Belgium’s games at the World Cup so far and will likely be involved in Saturday’s game against New Zealand, as the country looks to seal qualification for the last 32 after an underwhelming campaign so far.
Meanwhile, midfielder Dan Neil is set to join Southampton on a free transfer after leaving Sunderland.
City had been linked with Neil, though that reported interest was not thought to be anything substantial from the Tigers.
