Andy Last has made two changes to his Hull FC 21-man squad ahead of Friday’s game against Wakefield Trinity, with Davy Litten and Lewis Martin back in the fold after recent injuries.
The outside backs have missed the last two games with ankle and knee injuries but are now deemed fit enough to be named in the squad, with Hull hoping to go back to back after Saturday’s victory over Huddersfield Giants. Young duo Ben Johnson and Lennon Clark drop out.
On the injury front, the game comes too soon for Zak Hardaker, who is still out with a neck issue. The veteran was hoping to be back this week but isn’t risked. James Bell also isn’t deemed ready as he battles his return to full fitness after a recent knee operation.
Elsewhere, loan players Ethan O’Neill, Jeremiah Mata’utia, and Max Wood are all named, with Wood impressing on debut against the Giants last week.
In total, Hull are without 13 players with Hardaker and Bell joined by Will Pryce (ACL), John Asiata (hamstring), Cade Cust (shoulder), Sam Lisone (pec), Ligi Sao (shoulder), Connor Bailey (collarbone), Arthur Romano (ankle), Brad Fash (knee), and Joe Ward (ACL) all on the treatment table. Yusuf Aydin and Roman Dawson are suspended and each have three games to serve.
