Hull FC have secured two loan deals for young players and have confirmed an immediate exit.

Hull FC have secured two loan deals for Ben Johnson and Lennon Clark – with confirmation also coming that Joe Phillips has left the club.
Phillips was signed from Goole Vikings ahead of the 2026 season. However, the young prop, who never made a first-team appearance, instead featuring for the reserves side, has been released to peruse other opportunities in the sport.
Meanwhile, Clark has joined Goole on a one week loan deal and will get some important game time in the Championship. Likewise, Johnson will get some welcome first grade experience at Hunslet. Both players made their Super League debuts at Leigh Leopards last month.
A club statement read: ” Hull FC can confirm that young duo Ben Johnson and Lennon Clark have agreed one-week loan deals with Betfred Championship clubs. With no scheduled Reserves fixtures over the next fortnight, both will play in the Championship this weekend to support their Rugby League development.
“Clark, who spent time on loan with Workington Town last year, has joined up with the Goole Vikings squad ahead of their game against Keighley Cougars on Saturday afternoon. Johnson has joined Hunslet on a week-long loan deal, and will be involved when they face Widnes Vikings on Sunday.
“Hull FC can also confirm that 20-year-old forward Joe Phillips has departed the club to explore opportunities elsewhere in the sport. The club would like to place on record its thanks to Joe for his efforts, and wish him good luck for his next steps in Rugby League.”
