A Hull school teacher has appeared in court charged with three counts of rape and 15 counts of sexual assault. William Perkins, 29, appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court on June 3.
Perkins, of Keyingham, entered no plea as he faced the charges relating to alleged victims aged under 16. He was denied bail with the case sent to Hull Crown Court and is next due to be heard on June 29.
The notice circulated by Perkins’ school said the school and its trust had taken “immediate action” in line with statutory safeguarding guidance and that it was cooperating fully with the police and the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). The school said: “As legal proceedings are now ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further on the nature of the charges or the circumstances surrounding the case.
“It is important that the legal process is allowed to take its course. The safety of our pupils remains our highest priority, and support is available for any pupils, staff, or families who need it. We ask that speculation is avoided.”
A statement from Humberside Police said: “William Perkins, 29 years-old of Keyingham has been charged with fifteen counts of sexual assault and three counts of rape. Perkins, who identified himself as White British, has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Crown Court on Monday, 29 June 2026.”
