
A thoroughly satisfying win for Hull FC.
Hull FC hit 50 points at Castleford Tigers in a clinical Super League display to get Andy Last’s second spell as interim head coach up and running. The Black and Whites scored nine tries for a 50-10 victory in West Yorkshire. Here are the ratings:
Logan Moy – Solid at the back and got involved. He was a threat on the ball and contributed well to the win. 8
Tom Briscoe – The veteran was busy with his carries and made plenty of ground. Finished his try well. 8
Harry Newman – Did his job to effect. Ran effectively and was solid in pretty much everything he did. 8
Davy Litten – A solid performance that featured two tries – one in each half. Ran strong as always and caused Castleford plenty of problems. 8
Lewis Martin – Back in the try-scoring groove. Was also safe under the high ball and ran the ball strong in the backfield. 8
Jake Arthur – Scored the first try, backing up Bourouh to touch down. Assisted the second with a delicious cut-out pass. And was involved again in others. A strong return to the side. Taken off in the second half. 9
Aidan Sezer – The captain’s best display of the season. Used the Castleford field dimensions to effect and kicked deep. Ran the ball well and got Hull ticking. Brought off late in the game. 9
Ligi Sao – A really promising start with some strong carries and offloads. Failed a HIA after leaving the field on ten minutes. George Lawler was sin binned for the high shot. N/A
Amir Bourouh backed up Sao’s offload to break through the Cas line at speed before assisting Arthur for the first try. A really strong performance. 8
Harvie Hill – Tough, physical, and ultimately dominant on what was a satisfying night for Hull and their pack, to say the least. 8
Connor Bailey – Ran hard and cut back on the inside to effect. He’s solid at this level and has been a very shrewd addition to the Hull side. Scored his first Super League try for Hull in the first half and had a second chalked off late in the game. 8
Zak Hardaker – Like a fine wine playing in the back row. Scored in the second half with a silky show and go. Brought up the 50-point mark with a penalty goal. 9
James Bell – The Kiwi shaped Hull up superbly. His passing in the middle was crisp and effective off the back of some direct running. His first 30 minutes, in particular, were outstanding. 9
Cade Cust – Brought energy to the side and did his job. Played a stint at hooker and in the middle as a ball-playing forward and got a try late on. 7
Yusuf Aydin – Came off the bench and ensured Hull’s dominance didn’t slip. Got the final try in the final few minutes. 8
Brad Fash – Came on and kept Hull ticking. A solid account. 7
Jeremiah Mata’utia – Did well on his first Hull appearance. Ran hard and tackled everything that came his way. 7
Callum Kemp – Activated as the 18th Man and came on in the second half. Did nothing wrong. 7
