Hull FC take on Castleford Tigers in West Yorkshire this Friday night.

Hull FC are back in action at Castleford Tigers this Friday night, with Andy Last in the hot seat once again in the first game post-John Cartwright as interim head coach. The Hull-born coach is in the same position he held in 2020 after the dismissal of Lee Radford, and the one he guided Hull to the play-offs in – the last Black and Whites coach to do so.

Fronting the media on Thursday, Last, not in a national lockdown this time with Covid and behind-closed-doors games to contend with, gave a passionate account of the last two weeks and explained how Hull have galvanised together after a difficult period. United and ready to go, the message is simple, and it’s one of pride and passion in heading to West Yorkshire as one.

Fingers crossed that words follow into action, and the players can rally for what would be a satisfying two points against an opponent that got a fine win at Wigan last Sunday. For Castleford, consistency is the word, and they’ll be looking to back it up on their home turf. It’s all on for a tasty clash down the lane, with the sun out and spring finally here. As always, we’ll be there every step of the way, with all the build-up, teams live, live action, and post-match reaction to come. Bring it on.

Zak Hardaker interview

“We’ve had some clear messages that we need to do well and I’m confident that if 17 players take them on board, we’ll get the win. It’s up to us now to go out and do that now on the pitch.”

Zak Hardaker is ready to get back to business at Castleford with a solid performance.
