After a stylish makeover, The Gardeners Arms, in Cottingham Road, Hull, is back and better than ever, serving up “good times, great food, and the best seat in town for live sport”.
Featuring a brighter new contemporary design, the renovation has given the unique pub, which features two distinct bars under one roof, a total transformation. The rear bar area has a sleek new look, with upgraded TV screens, a dedicated live entertainment space and refreshed décor, while the traditional front bar area features a refreshed, cosy atmosphere along with a new darts area.
Outside, the pub has also installed four new waterproof TVs and three new canopies, perfect for catching the World Cup this summer. The pub bills itself as “the ideal hangout for guests to gather with friends, family, or colleagues … whether you’re enjoying great food or just enjoying a pint, everyone can relax in The Gardeners Arms’ warm and inviting atmosphere”.
Commenting on the pub’s new look, Mark Attwood, general manager, said: “As a cornerstone of the Kingston upon Hull community, we’re delighted to have given the pub a much-needed refresh and can’t wait to share the exciting changes with our guests. There’s truly something for everyone, and we’re looking forward to welcoming people back in to enjoy it.”
Sport lovers are well catered for with TNT Sports and Sky Sports and the Sky Sports Plus channels across the screens. The pub also offers a range of entertainment including a pub quiz, sets by local artists and an alternative indie night.
On Tuesday afternoons, The Gardeners Arms also welcomes the local community to take part in its afternoon socials, including bingo, live singers and discounts on food and drink. Four-legged friends are also welcome to visit The Gardeners Arms as the pub has a dedicated dog-friendly space in the beer garden area, along with water and doggy treats available on request.
