Lights out and away we go! A special chance to see a Formula 1 car up close and personal is coming to a Hull car dealership – for one week only. Visitors are revving their engines in preparation for the Audi Revolut Formula 1 show car’s arrival at JCT600 Audi on Saxon Way, Hessle, next week. But there’s no need to race to see it – the car will be on display for an entire week.
The car will be taking a pit stop at the Hessle dealership as part of its UK-wide tour. Audi Hull general sales manager Jack Wilson said it’s a “great opportunity” for F1 fans to come to see the car, which is being debuted at this year’s races as part of Audi’s new team.
Jack said: “It would be great for anyone that’s into F1, it’s the full Audi F1 car that’s coming. It will be in the show room, and you can get relatively close and take pictures. For anyone that’s interested in F1, it’s a great opportunity to come round. Not many people get to see a F1 car up close and personal. It’s brand new. Not many people have seen it other than on TV. Audi are brand new on the grid this year and it’s fresh into the season – it’s the exact car that’s coming.”
He said the car is worth in the “millions” so there is no opportunity to sit inside or take it for a spin. But fans can come into the showroom, take pictures with the car and be among the first people in the world to see it in the flesh.
Throughout the week, there will also be a variety of special F1 event offers across new and approved vehicles for anyone who would like to take advantage while visiting. Jack said it’s not about selling cars, but about “giving back to the community”. The car has been on tour around the UK and Audi dealerships were given the chance to pay to display the Audi Revolut in their spaces.
The car will arrive from lunchtime on Tuesday 8 September and will be on display until the end of the day on Monday 14 September. There is no appointment necessary. JCT600 Audi is based in Priory Park in Hessle, and is open from 8.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
