City came very close to signing Bailey last month
Former Hull City target Leon Bailey appears to have found a new club with an exit from Aston Villa reportedly secured.
Bailey came very close to joining City on a couple of occasions over the course of the summer transfer window. The Villa man was even namechecked by head coach Sergej Jakirovic as a deal he expected to happen as the club attempted to strengthen their wide options before the start of the Premier League season.
However, the Tigers ultimately ended up pulling the plug on the deal after growing increasingly frustrated in how the deal was progressing. The length of time being taken a clear concern and that’s not to mention the moving of goalposts.
As such, Hull Live confirmed on the eve of the new season that the deal appeared to be dead in the water, with the club moving on to fresh targets.

And, as the window wore on, City never looked to rectify the deal with Mohamed-Ali Cho and Sorba Thomas being brought in to provide quality on the wings.
Bailey has been forced to look elsewhere for opportunities then, with Villa making it clear that he wouldn’t play if he were to remain at Villa Park and according to Fabrizio Romano, he has found a club.
Olympiacos will be his landing spot, with Romano claiming Bailey will make the move to Greece on a permanent deal.
It’s a move that sees the Jamaica international bring his time at Villa to an end after five years in the Midlands.
