Hull KR have rewarded academy duo Alex Gorman and Theo Middlemas with their first professional contracts, handing both players long-term deals at Sewell Group Craven Park.
The pair have progressed through the club’s youth system and have been training with Willie Peters’ first-team squad over the past few months.
Their performances have impressed enough to earn them three-year contracts, Hull Live can reveal.
The deals secure their futures with the Robins until at least the end of 2029, with both players set to continue their development within the first-team environment.
Both aged 17, Gorman, the younger brother of current first-team outside-back Louix, has caught the eye during his progression at the club in the halves. Middlemas, meanwhile, operates in the middle and most recently featured at loose forward for the academy outfit.
Both players have also represented the club’s reserves, including their recent involvement in the 82-14 victory over Huddersfield Giants.
They join the likes of Frankie Dearlove in making the step up from the academy to Hull KR’s first-team setup, with the Yorkshire Academy representative having signed a two-year deal ahead of the 2026 season. The back-rower is yet to win his official Hull KR debut.
Fellow academy graduate Harvey Horne, meanwhile, has recently linked up with Championship side Doncaster on a short-term loan. The 21-year-old started at centre in their 46-18 victory over Oldham.
Horne made his Hull KR debut earlier this year in the Challenge Cup win over community club Lock Lane, scoring a hat-trick on home soil.
