Connexin Live will host a third, early matinee performance
Promoters for Peter Kay have said the comedian has announced a third show in Hull this October. The star this week revealed he was extending his record-breaking Better Late Than Never Tour with “a few more shows” to help good causes.
Peter announced he would be visiting Hull’s Connexin Live arena with a matinee and an evening show, on Saturday, October 10. No sooner had word got out, the gigs sold out and the comic has now added a third show while he is in the city.
His promoters said: “Due to phenomenal demand, Peter Kay has today (Friday, July 31) announced an additional charity performance at Connexin Live Hull on Sunday, October 11 – an early matinee show. All profits from the shows will be donated to a number of deserving charities.”
The Sunday show will be at 1pm and also at Connexin Live. A poster promoting what are to be curtain-closer events for Peter show the star holding a cardboard sign on which is written, Better Late Than Never, with a piece of paper taped to it bearing the words, The Final Final Shows, and underlined.
The charity shows are in aid of:
- The Lily Foundation – UK Mitochondrial Disease Charity
- Maggie’s – Everyone’s Home of Cancer Care
- The Be More Laura Foundation – Supporting Research into Brain Cancer
Tickets are on sale now for the Sunday matinee, with wheelchair tickets, ambulant accessible seating, premium seating, lounge upgrades and VIP tickets as options. Hull was one of four newly-added locations for the charity gigs, with Brighton, Cardiff and Blackpool also hosting.
Peter said previously: “It’s been an incredible four-year tour. I’ve absolutely loved it.
“If doing a few more shows can help raise money for these overlooked and sadly underfunded charities, then that’s the least I can do.” Tickets for all the new dates went on general sale today.
