Hull KR secured a dramatic 26-12 win over rivals Hull FC at Magic Weekend thanks to two late tries at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Here are our player ratings.
Ryan Hampshire – 6: The 31-year-old named at full-back for his second Hull KR appearance, and will be better for the Super League minutes. He’s still off-contract at the end of 2026.
Tom Davies – 7: The winger carries strong and carries hard with plenty of those at Hill Dickinson Stadium, earning a penalty or two along the way.
Peta Hiku – 6: Good defensively alongside a couple of moments in attack.
Oliver Gildart – 5: A missed opportunity late in the first half with a forward pass for winger Broadbent.
Jack Broadbent – 5: Hull KR’s utility man named on the wing for his 150th career appearance, but he’d have liked his no-try moment back in the second half with the scores locked in at 12-12. Broadbent did, however, assist the opening try for Lewis after chasing his kick.
Mikey Lewis – 7: His kick and his try to open the scoring, with Broadbent tapping the ball down into his half-back’s arms. The livewire England international also assisted his side’s second with a short ball for Martin. Lewis also tracked back to stop a breaking Zak Hardaker in the second half.
Tyrone May – 6: A couple of uncharacteristic moments for the usual cool playmaker, but finished the game with a try after chasing down a Litten grubber kick.
Sauaso Sue – 7: A good return from a shoulder injury, and was forced to pass a head injury assessment in the first half.
Jez Litten – 7: Another key figure to return in the middle after overcoming an ankle issue and playing it tough in the middle. The England international provided a smart assist for May late on, with Hull FC’s defensive line racing up and Litten putting through a delicate grubber after waiting patiently.
Jai Whitbread – 8: A solid opening 30 minute stint, before returning in the second half. A decent shift from the forward, who came close to scoring in the first half but then crossed late on after a Hull FC mistake.
Rhyse Martin – 7: The back-rower hit a slick line to score from a short Lewis pass. He also converted five from six attempts in Liverpool.
James Batchelor – 6: A tough defender week in, week out for the Robins.
Elliot Minchella – 7: A decent outing from the influential Hull KR captain in Liverpool.
Karl Lawton – 7: The utility forward did it tough at the home of Everton FC, with multiple stints from the bench.
Jordan Dezaria – 6: Hull KR’s only recognised prop on the interchange bench, and he had some decent spells.
Noah Booth – N/A. An unused interchange.
Bill Leyland – 6. Almost feels harsh to judge after a short stint from the interchange bench.
