Andy Last has named his Hull FC side to take on Wigan Warriors at the MKM Stadium this Saturday afternoon. The Black and Whites interim head coach has made three changes, with Zak Hardaker, Lewis Martin, and Matty Laidlaw all back in the fold. They replace Will Kirby, Ethan O’Neill, and Max Wood.
James Bell isn’t risked. The loose-forward has trained this week was named in the 21-man squad but isn’t fit enough to play as he continues his recovery from a recent knee injury.
At full-back, Logan Moy keeps his spot once again, with Harvey Barron on the wing and Martin back in after four games out with an ankle issue. Tom Briscoe moves to the centres, with Davy Litten completing the three-quarter line. Jake Arthur and Aidan Sezer are in the halves.
Up front, Herman Ese’ese starts for the first time this year in his fourth game back from an Achilles injury. Harvie Hill is also named in the front row up against his former side, with Amir Bourouh, also an ex-Wigan player, at hooker. Joe Batchelor and Zak Hardaker are in the back row, with Hugo Salabio perhaps a surprise pick at loose-forward. The French forward has featured off the bench for the last four games.
Laidlaw is joined on the interchange by Jed Cartwright, Will Hutchinson, and Jeremiah Mata’utia. Lennon Clark is the 18th man.
