Goalkeeper Ivor Pandur has been linked with a surprise move to Scottish side Rangers, as speculation around transfer activity at the MKM Stadium intensifies.
Pandur, who is preparing for Croatia’s final World Cup group game against Ghana in Philadelphia on Saturday night, is said to be the subject of a swap deal involving former England stopper Jack Butland.
City are keen to strengthen their goalkeeping ranks and were linked with Manchester United’s Radek Vitek last week, while they’ve held talks with Ersin Destanoğlu over a free transfer move from Besiktas.
The Tigers rebuffed interest in Pandur from Middlesbrough last season, but after a campaign where he helped City win promotion to the Premier League, interest has reignited.

According to The Scottish Sun, City and Rangers are locked in talks over a deal that would see Butland come to the MKM Stadium, and Pandur going the other way, with the East Yorkshire club taking a significant transfer fee for the 26-year-old, thought to be in excess of £6m.
Butland, 33, played 55 times for Rangers last season in all competitions, keeping 16 clean sheets. The former Stoke City and Birmingham City goalkeeper has played 87 times in the Premier League earlier in his career.
Pandur, along with Kyle Joseph, Abu Kamara, Kasey Palmer, Enis Destan and David Akintola, are all attracting interest and could yet move on before the end of the month, with City looking to recoup money to avoid any potential Financial Fair Play (FFP) punishment.
