Rovers were without four key players on Friday night

Willie Peters expects to see a couple of key men return to his Hull KR side in time to face Hull FC next weekend.
The Robins were without a host of their most important players on Friday night as they went down 34-8 to Leeds Rhinos at Headingley Stadium. Sauaso Sue and Jez Litten were named in the 21-man squad but ultimately weren’t involved in West Yorkshire.
Sue has been carrying a shoulder injury since last week’s win over Leigh Leopards. Litten on the other hand, has been struggling with an ankle issue and hasn’t played since the win over York Knights.
Joe Burgess also missed out with the winger sustained a shoulder injury against the Leopards, while Sam Luckley has a hamstring complaint at present that kept him out of the clash against the league leaders.
Ultimately, KR’s injury crisis was made worse five minutes into the contest at Headingley with Dean Hadley leaving the field with a head knock and failing a head knock.
He’ll miss Magic Weekend as a result, but Peters has confirmed that at least two of the above names look set to return at Hill Dickinson Stadium this Saturday.
“I wanted to go into this game, because we knew the physicality of it, and make sure everyone was OK and not think too much around an injury,” Peters said.
“Jez will be back next week, Jesse will be back next week. Joe Burgess, I’m not sure yet.
“Sam Luckley is possibly another week.”
Rovers could find themselves going into that game in sixth spot after Friday’s loss. They currently sit third but the loss opens the door for Wigan Warriors, St Helens and Wakefield Trinity to leapfrog KR.
