Hull City have been linked with a last-gasp move for Real Betis midfielder Nelson Deossa.
The claim comes from Spanish newspaper ElDesmarque who say the Tigers and Panathinaikos have ‘approached’ the La Liga outfit to register their interest.
That comes with the 26-year-old seemingly on the brink of a move to Brazilian outfit Vasco da Gama in the next few days.
Indeed the story says the Columbian has agreed terms with Vasco da Gama, as have Betis with the only thing outstanding an actual, formal written offer.
ElDesmarque even reckon the two clubs have already hammered out the payment schedule for a player who has spent just one year in Spain after moving from Mexican side Monterrey last summer.
The central midfielder played 33 times last season, nine in Betis’ run to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, however he started only eight league games.
City’s midfield settled around the talents of Matt Crooks and Regan Slater during the end-of-season charge, with Amir Hadziahmetovic, John Lundstram also playing key parts.
