Hull KR are looking at Warrington Wolves’ Flynn Holden
Hull KR have identified Warrington Wolves youngster Flynn Holden as a target as they plan for 2027 and beyond.
The Robins won’t be looking to make too many signings ahead of next season and work in that regard will only really gather pace once a new head coach has been appointed.
The hunt to find Willie Peters’ successor is approaching a conclusion and the new man will have the final say on any new first-team signings for next year.
That has not stopped the Robins from identifying young talent for the future, though, and it is understood that Holden is one player they are looking at.
The 19-year-old plays either as a full-back or on the wing and while he is yet to make a first-team debut for Warrington, he featured on loan at Goole Vikings earlier this year.
He made two appearances for Scott Taylor’s Vikings before being recalled by the Wolves.
Holden is believed to be off-contract this year and with Warrington boasting a host of talented young backs, he has been given the green light to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
That’s where KR come in, with the Robins pushing to develop their squad depth by signing a series of talented youngsters over the last few years.
The likes of Declan Murphy, Tom Whitehead and Noah Booth have made their way to Craven Park from other clubs in recent years and Holden, should he sign with the Robins, would likely be seen in a similar way.
KR have been active in the recruitment market recently, with Tevita Pangai Jr joining the club after being released by Catalans Dragons at the end of last year. His signing has led to the immediate exit of Jack Brown, who has joined Castleford Tigers following his final appearance for the club in the Challenge Cup final on Saturday.
