Two boys are reported to have ‘attempted to flee the scene on an electric bike’

Two arrests were made after a “boy with a knife” was seen in Hull city centre on Saturday evening (May 30). The incident happened in Queen Victoria Square at around 8.25pm.
Humberside Police says its Armed Policing Unit was immediately deployed to the scene and arrived a few minutes later. A spokesperson for the force said: “Two boys matching the description of the suspects were located and attempted to flee the scene on an electric bike in order to evade officers.
“Both teenagers were swiftly detained, and a quantity of drugs, cash and a large knife was located and seized.”
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place. He has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
A 14-year-old boy was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released without charge.
