Hull KR lead the way for this year’s Lance Todd Trophy in the Challenge Cup Final.
Mikey Lewis has been named the favourite to win this year’s Lance Todd Trophy when Hull KR take on Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup Final on Saturday.
The Robins face Wigan in the prestigious final for the first time, with a crowd of 60,000 set to descend on the capital on Saturday.
Having been awarded the inaugural Rob Burrow Award following Hull KR’s historic Grand Final win over the Cherry and Whites last October, livewire half-back Lewis is now favourite to be named player of the match at Wembley.
He is closely followed in the betting by team-mate Tyrone May, while Wigan’s Bevan French is third favourite after his surprise inclusion in Wigan’s extended squad. The Australian ace has been sidelined since March with a torn hamstring, but has been given a chance of making his long-awaited return under the famous Wembley arch.
The Wigan playmaker won the Lance Todd Trophy in 2024 after helping Wigan defeat Warrington Wolves 18-8 in the 2024 final.
Harry Smith, Jack Farrimond and Jez Litten are all considered joint contenders in the Lance Todd Trophy market, making up the top six in the betting for the prestigious award.
Also among the leading names are Jai Field, Jack Broadbent, Joe Burgess and Junior Nsemba.
Warrington’s Marc Sneyd became just the second player to received the individual award for a third time last year in Warrington’s dramatic defeat to Hull KR, after Sean Long.
Sneyd won it twice with Hull FC (2016 and 2017), while Long received rugby league’s most storied individual award in 2001, 2004 and 2006.
