Hull, in contrast, only clinched sixth spot on the final day following a 2-1 victory over Norwich, and will be hoping their past play-off experience proves valuable, having secured promotion through this route in 2007-08 and 2015-16. However, they arrive in the capital lacking momentum, managing only three victories in their previous 13 fixtures and drawing five of their last eight.
The Tigers are also without a win in their last five away fixtures and have not tasted victory on the road since defeating Wrexham on March 10.
