The Black and Whites have made three changes.
Andy Last has made three changes to his Hull FC 21-man squad ahead of Sunday’s game against Toulouse Olympique, with Harvey Barron fit enough to be named for the first time in over two months.
Barron has been out since the end of February with an ankle issue and was challenged by Last to get over his setbacks last week. And given his inclusion in the extended side, it seems that the young winger has done exactly that. He will now compete with Tom Briscoe and Lewis Martin for a spot in the matchday side, with the team to get through their captain’s run on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s MKM Stadium clash against the French side.
One of three changes, Barron is joined in the squad by Joe Batchelor, who has missed the last two games with a back issue. He was confirmed to be returning in Thursday’s pre-match press conference, with Last stating he is likely to feature from the bench. Young back row forward Lennon Clark also comes into the squad.
Dropping out are Ligi Sao, who failed his HIA at Castleford Tigers last week and needs to pass his return-to-play protocols in order to feature at Bradford on May 17, and the Kemp twins, Callum and Lloyd, who, along with Joe Phillips, will feature for Championship outfit Goole Vikings against London Broncos.
Elsewhere, Leeds Rhinos loan duo Harry Newman and Jeremiah Mata’utia will feature for Hull again, with Logan Moy set to continue his role at full-back. The likes of Jake Arthur and James Bell are also named as the Black and Whites look to build on last week’s victory at Castleford Tigers.
On the injury front, Sao is joined by Will Pryce (ACL), Herman Ese’ese (Achilles), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), John Asiata (hamstring), Sam Lisone (pec), Arthur Romano (ankle), and Joe Ward (ACL).
