Hull FC have made two changes to their squad.

Andy Last has made two changes to Hull FC’s 21-man squad ahead of his first game in interim charge at Castleford Tigers on Friday night, with Jake Arthur returning to the side after a recent calf injury.

The half-back has missed Hull’s last two games against Hull KR and St Helens, but is now fit enough to be named in the squad and hopefully take his place in the side once again. Arthur is joined by Leeds Rhinos prop Jeremiah Mata’utia, who arrives on an original one-week loan deal.

Offering some size to Hull’s pack, Mata’utia is joined by Rhinos teammate Harry Newman, who is also included again after having his loan extended by a further week. He debuted against St Helens last Thursday night.

Meanwhile, Sam Lisone drops out of the squad. The prop left the field against Saints to injury and was seen in the sling soon after with a suspected bicep issue. However, it has now been confirmed that the prop has a pec injury and is expected to be out for a significant period. Will Kirby also makes way.

Lisone is the latest long-term blow for Hull, who are also without Will Pryce (ACL), Harvey Barron (ankle), Herman Ese’ese (Achilles), Joe Batchelor (back), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), John Asiata (hamstring), Arthur Romano (ankle), and Joe Ward (ACL).

Batchelor is still not fit enough to play at Castleford after picking up a back injury in the derby. He had a chance of returning this week but is still sidelined. Elsewhere, Matty Laidlaw is named after shaking off a dead leg suffered against the Saints. James Bell is also included alongside the likes of Aidan Sezer, Zak Hardaker, Cade Cust, and co.
