Bradford Bulls
The Bulls picked up injuries to three key men on Saturday as they were thumped by Wakefield Trinity at the DIY Kitchens Stadium. Esan Marsters, Joe Mellor and Jack Ormondroyd suffered calf, knee and back injuries respectively.
The likes of Ryan Sutton, Eribe Doro, Rowan Milnes, Phoenix Steinwede and Waqa Blake are also sidelined.
Castleford Tigers
Castleford welcomed back Liam Hood as they stunned Wigan for their first away win at the Brick Community Stadium since 2017. Semi Valemei and Jenson Windley were named in the club’s extended squad, though only the latter featured. Winger Valemei has been struggling with a knee issue.
Ashton Golding (calf), Blake Taaffe (ACL) and Louis Senior (ankle) remain out.
Catalans Dragons
Catalans named an unchanged 21-man squad to face Warrington, with Alrix Da Costa and Josh Allen remaining out. Franck Maria has not featured this year due to a pre-season surgery.
Huddersfield Giants
Huddersfield were thumped 56-22 by Leeds, and it came with more injuries too. On his return, Sam Halsall left the field with a fresh calf injury, while Taane Milne and Mathieu Cozza both failed head injury assessments.
Hull FC
Overseas prop forward Sam Lisone left the field on Thursday night with an arm injury. He was seen in a sling in the second half, with the former Leeds man suffering a suspected torn bicep. He will now be sent for scans with an update to follow next week. Elsewhere, young middle Matty Laidlaw suffered a dead leg. Harry Newman, playing on loan from Leeds Rhinos, passed his HIA.
Hull KR
Hull KR’s 46-0 victory over Toulouse came with a cost, with Oliver Gildart picking up a slight ankle knock leaving him in doubt for this week’s clash with Bradford. The 29-year-old was forced from the field in the second half at Stade Ernest-Wallon.
Elliot Minchella meanwhile made a try-scoring return, while Karl Lawton missed out due to an ankle injury sustained in the Challenge Cup quarter-final win over York.
Arthur Mourgue’s return has been pencilled in for next month against Leigh Leopards, while Declan Murphy has suffered a slight setback on his recovery from an MCL injury.
Leeds Rhinos
Max Simpson (ACL) remains out long-term.
Leigh Leopards
Edwin Ipape played through the pain barrier to feature in Leigh’s win over York, with Adrian Lam’s side currently struggling through an injury crisis.
Robbie Mulhern was a late withdrawal at the LNER Community Stadium in a precautionary call on his calf. Starting centres Tesi Niu and Umyla Hanley are expected to return for Leigh’s visit to Catalans in Round 10, alongside a potential return for Bailey Hodgson. Outside-back Keanan Brand recently suffered a slight setback.
Matt Davis suffered a head knock in training last week, while David Armstrong could return next month. Andrew Badrock underwent surgery on a shoulder reconstruction.
St Helens
Deon Cross failed his HIA in the first-half against Hull FC, with Paul Rowley confirming post-match that the player will now go through the necessary protocols. Jake Wingfield is out for the season due to an ACL injury, while captain Matty Lees made his return in the hard-fought victory.
Jacob Host (broken leg), Nene Macdonald (knee surgery), Curtis Sironen (calf), Jake Burns (ankle), Mark Percival (hamstring), Agnatius Paasi (hamstring) all remain out.
Toulouse Olympique
The French outfit were without Tyler Dupree for the visit of Hull KR.
Wakefield Trinity
Jazz Tevaga still has a game remaining on his suspension – but he is set to miss out longer due to a leg injury suffered against Wigan in the Challenge Cup. Isaiah Vagana recently suffered issues to his shoulder and ankle.
Warrington Wolves
Warrington suffered a double injury blow during their defeat at Catalans Dragons. James Harrison was forced off in Perpignan due to an ankle issue, while Toafofa Sipley suffered a flare up on his knee/calf injury, having marked his return in the south of France.
Wigan Warriors
Wigan are sweating over the fitness of forward Ethan Havard, who sustained a calf injury during captain’s run ahead of Wigan’s match with Castleford. Try-scorer Dayon Sambou also appeared to be struggling at the Brick Community Stadium, with heavy strapping on his right knee.
York Knights
Kieran Hudson and Jon Bennison were named in York’s extended squad after recovering from injuries – though neither featured. The Knights remain without the likes of Ben Jones-Bishop, Toa Mata’afa and Liam Harris.
