The latest Super League attendances.

The Super League round eight attendances are in, with Wigan Warriors and Hull FC recording the biggest crowds. The two clubs were the only ones to post five-figure numbers, with both outfits suffering home defeats by the same 24-14 scoreline, Wigan to Castleford Tigers and Hull to St Helens.

In total, 13,442 watched Castleford run out winners at the Brick Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with Krystian Mapapalangi starring in an excellent performance. On Thursday night, Hull were defeated by St Helens in what has proved to be John Cartwright’s last game in charge of the club. The Aussie has been ‘stepped down’ and placed on gardening leave, with Andy Last confirmed as interim coach for the rest of the season ahead of Steve McNamara’s appointment for 2027 and beyond.

In the South of France, Catalans Dragons produced one of the best performances of the Super League season to date to defeat Warrington Wolves 38-22. The French side were well worth their seven-try win at their Perpignan-based Stade Gilbert Brutus home on Saturday evening, with 9,525 there to see Lewis Dodd score a hat-trick and Solomona Faataape impress with another strong account.

In West Yorkshire, Wakefield Trinity extended their Super League winning run to five games with a ten-try 52-12 hammering of Bradford Bulls. England winger Tom Johnstone scored four, with 8,608 there at Belle Vue to see it on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Hull KR produced a clinical display in the South of France to hammer Toulouse Olympique 46-0 at the Stade Ernest Walton on Friday night, with 6,135 there to see it. Leeds Rhinos also hammered Huddersfield Giants 56-22 in a clinical attacking display, with 5,644 at the Accu Stadium.

Lastly, Leigh Leopards were also in action on Friday, defeating York Knights 18-6 at the LNER Stadium, albeit the attendance hasn’t been given.
