
A witness appeal has been launched after the incident which happened in front of a woman and two teenagers
An investigation has been launched after a man “touched himself inappropriately” in front of a woman and two teenagers on a train heading to Hull. The incident happened at around 10.30am on Saturday, March 14.
The woman boarded a train with two teenage children at Beverley station and sat down at a table where a man was seated. British Transport Police said: “Within minutes the woman noticed the man was touching himself inappropriately under the table.
“She shouted at him and moved the children away before police were alerted and intercepted the train at Hull station.”
A 65-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail pending further enquiries. Officers are now asking for any witnesses who can help with the investigation to come forward.
The man is described as white with long grey hair. He was wearing a yellow top and baggy blue jeans.
