Police are advising motorists to avoid the area

Drivers are being urged to avoid the westbound A63 in the Hessle area due to an “ongoing incident”. An incident has been reported between the junction for Hessle, at Priory Way, and the A15 Humber Bridge.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Please avoid the A63, Westbound between the junction for Hessle, Priory Way and the Humber Bridge whilst police deal with an ongoing incident. Traffic is building in the area and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.”
Traffic is reportedly queueing back towards Hull due to the closure. The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
